由過去十年台灣股票市場的統計資訊顯示，市場參與的投資人類別產生了結構性改變，一般個人投資者占集中市場交易量金額的比率由70%以上，下降至50%左右，所謂的機構投資者(本國法人及外國法人)之投資標的類股成為影響股票市場交易變動的重要參考指標。而一般個人投資者相較機構投資者在投資決策訊息呈現不對稱的情形下，其參與股票市場的意願也大幅降低，此種現況已經嚴重影響證券商的營運發展，故本研究之目的即為發展證券商解決前述投資決策訊息不對稱情形之創新商業模式。
本研究利用Osterwalder and Pigneur (2012)在「獲利世代」(Business Model Generation)一書中的商業模式圖(Business Model Canvas)為根基，探究證券商電子商務之商業模式現況，進而考量產業競爭情形的策略選擇及互聯網金融的技術與思維等因素，藉由提出新的價值主張，發展創新的商業模式。本研究發現證券商若能將電子商務僅係以降低成本的思維模式，轉變為無時間或地域限制的即時訊息互動、快速資金融通的效率、及大數據雲端分析等互聯網金融思維，確實有機會提高一般投資人獲利的機會與報酬率，解決投資決策訊息不對稱情形，最終有利於證券商之營運發展。

Statistics from the Taiwan stock market over the past ten years show that there is a structural change in the category of investors in the market, and the proportion of market transaction by private investors has dropped from over 70% to around 50%. What we refer to as corporate investors (domestic and foreign legal entities) are becoming key indicators of the changes in the stock market. In general, when there are discrepancies in information for investment decisions appear between those of private investors and corporate investors, others show a much lower willingness to participate in the stock market, which have seriously affected the development of securities firms. Therefore, the purpose of this study is the development of security firms’ ability to resolve the above-mentioned investment decision-making information asymmetry via the creation of new business models.
Based on the Business Model Canvas of Osterwalder and Pigneur (2012) in Business Model Generation, this study explores the current situation of the business model of securities firms' e-commerce, then considering the strategy selection, current technology in internet banking based on competition in, by proposing new value propositions, the development of new business models. The study found that if securities firms were to become internet based to reduce costs, and allow instantaneous communication in the world, whilst raising the efficacy of financial intermediation, and having big data analysis does indeed can improve the number of opportunities and profit rate for private investors, thus reducing the asymmetry of investment decision-making information, and ultimately beneficial to the development of the security firms.
