在未來的2020年,遊戲app的市場逐漸擴大。本篇論文的研究對象為蘋果公司的遊戲行動應用程式。回顧研究文獻,有關學者研究app名字長度會影響進入app前25排行榜;跨過此門檻的app留在榜單的機率有明顯的提高。所以我們的研究問題將參考過去學者的研究,並注重在研究app特性:如app容量、系統相容性,提供多少語言版本,app名字長度等因素。觀察遊戲app進入前25排名榜和進入30萬世界排名的特性。
透過分層隨機抽樣的方式,筆者從App Store的資料庫按照各類別對整體的比例抽出1,194個app,然後將抽得樣本綜合成二大種類,為主要分析方式—羅吉斯回歸的虛擬變數。從敘述統計觀察資料,觀察個類別變數的平均邊際效果、顯著情況。筆者的研究呼應過去學者的研究,發現提供程式內購買,app容量,更新頻率均會增加app跨入25排行榜的機率。
筆者能相信研究結果對學術上有幫助以外,對遊戲app開發者也有實務意涵;讓開發者能利用這些數據對準特性便以開發。
Abstract
The mobile app market is expected to grow $108 billion, App Store already become a huge digital platform where hundreds of million users download use a mobile applications(apps) every day. This paper is focus on game in the App Store market and examines how app name length, app size, app language and other app-specific characteristics affects the probability of apps crossing the top 25 ranking.
By stratified random sampling approach,1,194 app were semi-manually select from the Apple Store database .We collect two categories from 24 categories on App Store as our variable. Data gathered base on the proportional number of each app category separately to total app.We use the logistic regression analysis to determine the relationship between these app specific and the app crossing the top ranking base on gaming categories.
