根據國際市調機構顧能（Gartner）公佈的2013年全球25大供應鏈廠商排名，可以發現全球前25大供應鏈廠商排名的核心在於廠商「以需求為導向」方面的領先性，其中並強調廠商從舊有的「被動式」供應鏈模式，進化至將需求、供給及產品整合為價值網絡的模式，一個隨時因應需求變化協調出具備獲利性的模式。由這個趨勢可以看出現今大部份高科技產業的供應鏈管理模式已經從規模化的大量生產，逐漸朝向以消費者為導向的客製化生產模式，這當中轉變所牽涉的層面相當廣泛，其中運籌活動中的庫存管理，其使用的策略是否已經不再適用？面對需求不確定性越來越高的情況下，其庫存管理策略應該如何因應？這些都是本研究將探討的內容。
本研究將以我國光電產業之中游TFT-LCD面板廠商所使用的關鍵性物料，進行其庫存管理策略選擇的探討，這些關鍵性物料通常具有高單價、且有效期的使用限制，所以也會面臨報廢成本控制的問題；另外探討藉由導入CPFR的協同機制，以協助提昇企業的反應能力，因應市場需求的快速變化。最後藉由Arena系統模擬程式來模擬及改良傳統的存貨管理模式，藉以找出該類型物料最佳的存貨管理策略，期望可以提供公司在相關議題上的參考依據。

Gartner dedicated to research and discusses practically in demand-oriented, emphasizing vendors from the old 『passive pattern』 supply chain model to evolve in demand, supply and product integration for the value of the network model, a model which can be adjustment and re-acting from market to gain a profit" From this passage can be seen nowadays the high-tech industry's supply chain management model has evolved from large-scale mass production escalated to customized production model, which encompasses many of change environments which including inventory management, logistics activities. The strategy can be useful in market? Face to uncertain demand is high and high, how does inventory management strategy react to ? These are the contents that this study will investigate it.
This study will be in our optoelectronics industry midstream-TFT-LCD panel manufacturer's key materials. Implementing on its inventory management strategy, which control critical materials usually have high price, and the validity use restrictions. It also will face retirement cost control issues. Another study by introducing CPFR collaborative mechanism to enhance of the ability of quick responds on market demand changes. Finally, use the Arena system simulation program to monitor and improve the traditional inventory management model. Try to find out the best inventory management strategy. We hope that this will be valuable on company's relevant issues.
