第一章 緒論
新聞記者與消息來源間關係探討，一直是新聞學中重要的研究議題，國內管理領域中，醫療行銷管理近年半蓬勃發展，健康傳播更是方興未艾，但有關醫學中心新聞公關與線上醫藥記者間互動關係，國內學術界缺乏深入質化訪談研究，歷經ＳＡＲＳ風暴，兩造關係出現質變，醫學中心新聞公關運作也出現微妙變化，遂成為一項深入探討重要議題。
主要發現：
本研究以深度訪談不同類型的報紙的高雄地區主跑三大醫學中心的資深醫藥記者及醫院的新聞公關人員，以質化研究了解醫學中心與媒體雙方互動關係運作方式及意見，結果有下列數發現及結論
：
（一） 醫學中心長期欠缺醫療行銷概念，僅對醫療技術及學術研究領先成果發佈較有興趣，受到ＳＡＲＳ疫情衝擊，主管對新聞公關運作逐漸重視，逐步投入人物力。
（二） 高雄三大醫學中心新聞公關運作及外界評價有著不同的差異性，高醫主動行銷意願強，欠缺危機處理的能力；高榮保守排斥主動行銷，但遇重大危機事件，處置能力較強；高雄長庚危機處理能力弱，也欠缺新聞公關運作能力，在ＳＡＲＳ事件中，充分展露。
（三） 三大醫學中心新聞公關運作績效，內部環境主要端賴醫院主管的支持及是否充分授權而定，外在環境主要受限於政府對醫療行銷廣告法令嚴格限制，導致自由發揮空間受限。
（四） 醫藥記者較其他路線記者較不易被新聞對象及公關同化，較有個主見，但醫藥是專業性強的領域，在醫藥與新聞不同專業標準領域的矛盾下，醫學中心醫護人員普遍認為醫藥記者專業性不夠，醫藥記者認為醫學中心過於保守，但雙方均願建立良好的互動關係。
結論：
（一） 媒體行銷的時代中，醫學中心宜及早建立專業整合性行銷體系，聘雇專業人力，充分授權，塑造醫院正面形象。
（二） 受限於醫療法禁止醫療廣告，醫學中心可選擇個別媒體合作，採衛教宣導結合置入性行銷方式，達到新聞公關績效、醫療行銷的目的，同時可避開醫療商業廣告化的疑慮。
（三） 強化醫藥記者專業能力，才能贏得醫學中心對媒體敬重。
（四） 醫藥記者與醫院公關互動具「互利共生」性質，卻不會相互同化，記者仍能擁有獨立性。
