鱸魚目前不屬於高價位或宴客餐廳的重要魚種，卻被一般家庭消費者接受，在國內呈現穩定的發展。為了維持該產業的永續經營，對於產業結構及本身優勢與劣勢的瞭解，未來面臨的威脅或競爭因素著實有必要探討。
本文分析鱸魚養殖產業經濟，利用SWOT策略分析個案與其競爭者之相關優劣及其機會威脅，進而掌握市場資訊與產銷一元化，創造產業競爭力。
綜合個案訪查後，瞭解在面對完全競爭之市場，只有結合產業集體議價的力量才能有效的降低生產成本或是運銷成本。市場價格的變動牽引著產地價格，而長期的波動則來自於供給面產生的變動，調整不適宜的經營模式，以期控制銷售量與價格，保持管銷暢通，如此才能提高台灣鱸魚產業的市場效益。
根據SWOT分析所得之總結，而擬訂下列幾種策略：
1.養殖戶應控制適當的放養密度，以避免疾病暴發。2.政府應發展健全的產銷制度，輔導共同運銷及專業生產區之運作，如此才能達到穩定魚價與拓展外銷市場的目標，建立產品品牌。3.養殖業者應該積極拓展香港及大陸以外的市場，如此才能均衡運銷通路。4.透過正確的試驗資訊，進行有效率的養殖管理，而不是盲目投入目前獲利較高的魚種，如此才能讓不同養殖產業之間均衡的發展，並且避免生產過剩而魚價下跌。
