Abstract |
analyses have been conducted on the PRC’s international endeavors and foreign policy, yet, one valuable research topic has yet to be examined: the viewpoints of overseas Chinese toward the PRC’s rise. This study seeks to shed insight on the PRC’s growing international engagement and the viewpoints of overseas Chinese in Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau and Indonesia. All these countries have a significant Chinese community. It is hypothesized that stronger kinsmanship to mainland China will lead to favorable attitudes toward the rise of the PRC. |
