||The purpose of this study is to conduct a literature review on the writings and research of military system, and explore the function and position of military officers in schools and the satisfaction on their performance. This study also focused on the transition of military instructors after their dismissal from school, and attempted to provide policy suggestions based on the results. The focal participants included teachers, administrators, students, parents and military instructors from Kaohsiung’s high schools and vocational schools; 956 valid questionnaires were collected. The findings are presented as follow:|
1.Near 90% of the participants felt that as the military instructors can be on duty 24 hours per day, they can help students learn in a safer environment.
2.Near 80% of the participants believed that it is suitable to have military instructors in campus owing to safety consideration.
3.Near 80% of the participants believed that if the supporting measures to the dismissal of military instructors are insufficient, the policy should proceed with caution.
4.Near 60% of the participants felt that the policy to dismiss all military instructors from school after 2021 is not very appropriate.
