Abstract
Despite the growing interest in the study of resilience in organizations and much work in organizations is performed by teams, little work has been carried out to capture resilience at a team-level setting. The present study aims to provide a comprehensive framework to address information systems development (ISD) team resilience, and to explore the antecedents and consequences of team resilience. In this study, we examine the predicting roles of team IQ, team EQ, and organizational support on team resilience, which brings a superior team recovery performance. Based on the sample of 153 project teams, the findings of the study indicate that (1) team resilience is positively related to ISD team recovery performance, (2) team IQ is positively associated with team resilience, and (3) organizational support has a significant impact on team resilience. The results provide theoretical implications on the past literature in ISD team resilience, and specify the capabilities and resources ISD teams develop and need in a fast-paced environment. Future research suggestions are discussed.
