近年來台灣女性在職場上有了顯著的改變,2001年我國女性勞動力人口近 400 萬人,勞參率為46.1%,而女性專技人員比率也達43%(行政院主計處人力資源調查統計年報,2002)。另一方面,在媒體的內容呈現上,國內外知名的商管雜誌也開始出現性別議題相關報導。然而在現有相關學術研究上,卻缺乏結合上述兩者之研究。一方面在性別研究中,雖有學者已開始注意女性勞動議題並進行相關研究(張晉芬,2003),但仍缺乏工作職場中不同階層的女性或女性專業工作者所面臨的工作與管理問題的相關研究。另一方面,管理領域中的性別議題探討則多著重於女性領導者的特質、領導風格差異等個人層面,從企業組織層面或是制度層面探討的研究則付之闕如。本研究試圖針對台灣目前發行量較大的商業管理類雜誌《天下》雜誌,從1982∼2001年十年期間所發行之期數中收集與性別議題相關的文章進行量化內容分析與文本分析,以揭露媒介是如何呈現,以及呈現了何種企業組織管理中的性別議題;在媒介所呈現的性別與管理議題背後,蘊含了何種深層的性別意涵。本研究將探討商管雜誌如何透過不同的報導形式、報導主題與角度等守門過程型塑管理領域中的性別議題,並且分析在過去十年中性別議題在商管雜誌中呈現的變化軌跡。
