愛德華．葛利格（Edvard Grieg, 1843-1907）為挪威音樂家，亦為開啟挪威國民樂派的先驅之一。葛利格一生寫了三首小提琴奏鳴曲，分別為《第一號小提琴奏鳴曲，作品八》、《第二號小提琴奏鳴曲，作品十三》及《第三號小提琴奏鳴曲，作品四十五》。於西元一八八六年寫下此首《第三號小提琴奏鳴曲，作品四十五》，靈感來自於義大利女小提琴家陶阿（Teresina Tua, 1867-1956）的演奏。
本文探討葛利格的《第三號小提琴奏鳴曲，作品四十五》，內容包括第一章葛利格生平、室內樂作品概述與《第三號小提琴奏鳴曲，作品四十五》的創作背景，第二章針對樂曲的架構上做分析及第三章以演奏技巧與音樂詮釋來演奏葛利格的《第三號小提琴奏鳴曲，作品四十五》。希望透過以上的研究，提供對此曲有演奏意願者，除了練習演奏技巧外，如何將技巧融合詮釋，演奏出作曲家原本的創作意念，進而呈現出可以精確表達這首樂曲的演出。

Edvard Grieg is a Norwegian musician, he was the foremost composer of his generation and the principal promoter of Norway Nationalism. Grieg has written three violin sonatas in his life,“violin sonata No. 3, op. 45”、“violin sonata No. 2, op. 13” and the “ violin sonata No. 3, op. 45” written in 1886 was inspired by Teresina Tua’s playing, an Italian female violinist.
This thesis focuses on Grieg’s “violin sonata No. 3, op. 45”, including first chapter discussing his life, chamber works and the compositional background of “violin sonata No. 3, op. 45”. Second chapter focus on the analysis of the form structure, and third chapter discussing the performance skills and the interpretation of “violin sonata No. 3, op. 45”. Through the research of this work, hopefully could help violinist will not only focus on the technique stage but also convey the idea of the composer more accurately while playing this work.
