本研究旨在探索皮指紋和領導風格的關聯性。領導風格的研究從最早的特質學派到目前的權變學派，不論在學術界或是業界都不曾停歇，傳統企業若因培養人才，則需要透過問卷量表檢測才能判別個人可能擁有的領導風格。皮指紋研究目前多數應用在醫學上檢測先天大腦發展有缺陷的病患上，而在台灣大多數的業者則多應用在幼兒發展上，目前未見使用皮紋檢測應用在人力資源上。本研究使用LBDQ XII量表，收集問卷資料，探索領導者的特質跟本身的皮指紋的關連性是否可以借藉由量化的資料來解釋。
此為探索性質研究，其結論不支持皮紋與領導行為有高度相關性，但此研究方式在領導行為研究中為先驅，且推測皮紋檢測在應用於人力資源上仍不穩定，上述兩點為本研究之貢獻。

This study aimes to explore the relevance of dermatoglyphics and leadership style. From the earlier studies on leadership traits to the more recent contingency theory, the research on leadership styles is a ever-lasting topic for both academics and businesses. When a company searches for talents, they often use questionnaires to evaluate the leadership characteristics of the candidates. Dermatoglyphics analysis is mostly applied to patients with birth defect of the brain. In Taiwan, it is often used to analyze early childhood development. It is unseen for such research to be applied on human resources. This study uses LBDQ XII to collect data and to explore whether if the relevance of leadership characteristics and dermatoglyphics can be explained by quantitative data. This is an exploratory study and it concludes that the connection between dermatoglyphics and leadership characteristics is not distinct. However, this research is the pioneer in the field of leadership theory and that the use of LBDQ data on dematoglyphics analysis on human resources is still unstable.
