在各個工業強國的產業中，工具機的競爭力往往決定的這個國家的工業強度。台灣靠著產業聚落與供應鏈的完整，與高素質的技術人員，台灣工具機產業憑藉著快速支援、即時服務等多個優勢，在全世界工具機的分工體系與全球布局是擁有高度的競爭力，與重要的市場定位。而本研究將從五力分析與鑽石模型探討台灣工具機產業在全球市場的競爭策略分析。
此研究以台灣工具機產業為例，利用資料蒐集以及研究者的經驗，搭配相關策略議題來分析台灣工具機產業在全球市場的分析。研究將從資料蒐集以及研究者的經驗，探討台灣工具機產業如何在全球市場的競爭地位。
此研究發現，台灣工具機產業在全球市場的競爭地位來看，還是有一定的競爭力。相關作法的部份，除了政府要提昇專業型生產要素及扮演二大重要角色之外，台灣工具機產業的廠商有針對未來趨勢，結合五力分析與鑽石模型的分析結果，方有足夠的競爭優勢與世界接軌。

The competitiveness of the machine tool often determines the industrial strength of the country. There are complete industrial settlement, supply chain, and high-quality technical staff in Taiwan. Because of rapid support and real-time service, Taiwan's machine tool industry is highly competitive and has important market positioning. This study will discuss the how do the Taiwan machine tool industry compete in global market from five-force analysis and diamond model.
This study takes Taiwan machine tool as an example, by using data collection and researcher’s experience, to analyze relevant strategies which Taiwan machine tool can operate. The result shows that Taiwan machine tool industry is still competitive in the world. In order to improve performences and competitiveness, Taiwan machine tool industry should use relevant strategical tool (five-force analysis and diamond model) to improve the competitive position of the market.
