本論文主要的研究工作，在於將海德格的集置（Ge-stell）與傅柯的部署（dispositif）兩概念作一基本陳述，以及並列的比較。企圖藉此作為一條通往「海德格�傅柯的遭逢（the confrontation between Heidegger and Foucault）」此一哲學討論場域的研究道路。

集置，是海德格晚期關於技術討論的重要概念。透過技術的本質性追問，海德格發現到現代技術的運作當中，所隱含的存有學上的危機。而集置便是用來指認現代技術此一危險性本質的概念。然而，在海德格關於藝術的討論當中，亦曾以集置一詞指認過藝術的本質特徵。就此，集置一詞便具有雙重意含的可能。

部署，為傅柯於規訓的分析研究中所採用的概念。用以指認規訓所構成的知識－權力－主體等三大面向的各種異質元素之聚合，以及此聚合所產生出來的社會效應與對於人的形構、改造、控管等作用。而傅柯得以突破權力分析的困局，而轉進到關於自我技術的研究，事實上是在部署此一概念的內部當中獲得逃逸的線索。

本文將此二概念並置的線索，除了它們同樣地指認出某種具有現代性發展中所隱含的框架性以外，另外，兩者皆具備了某種消極－積極性面向的複本（double）性思維，亦是本文關注的焦點。

而透過這樣一種概念並置的研究，除了讓海德格與傅柯之間的哲學關聯有了另一種發展的可能以外，更讓現代性研究當中所關注的框架化議題，有其他的概念使用與討論空間的選擇。
