A study on the Law of Retribution concept and the literature skills of 《Xing-Shi Yin Yuan Chuan》
Abstract
《Xing-Shi Yin Yuan Chuan》is a vernacular fiction mainly about human feeling and events in Ming and Ching dynasties。Although the term 「YIN YUAN」 usually refers to romance and marriages，the novel portrays not only love affairs and matrimony but also the reality of family life in the feudal society，general observation of gentlemen、government officials、businessmen、and servants，can also be found in the book，reflecting various aspects of real life and the complicacy of human natures。
This paper is divided into six chapters：Chapter One brings out the study motivation，direction，and scope，as well as general introducing the present related references to describe the current study situation。Chapter Two collects and studies who the author is？Time background and the orientation of the book。Chapter Three talks about the author’s ideas on 「causality」，The thought of 「causality」cover the ideologies of Buddhism、Taoism、and Confucianism，reflecting the miscellaneous「causality」values in the book。
Chapter Four extends the various「causality」values，and points out the conflicts between the「causality」presentations，which reveal the author’s internal contradiction towards the values。Chapter Five analyzes the character molding skills，which draw a lot
of interest。It praises the portraying of the characters and the outstanding polishing skills as each typical role is vividly presented。Chapter Six concludes and outlines the varied values and meaning，It also mentions the short-comings and the researcher's suggestions on future related study directions，in order to draw more academic attentions。
《Xing-Shi Yin Yuan Chuan》is based on a chaotic family，ironically describing the fallen morality and disordered ethnics during Ming and Ching dynasties。The nearly sick brutality between the couple shows the family violence at that time，this is definitely an earthly novel worth recommending。
