弗朗西斯•普朗克 (Francis Poulenc, 1899-1963) 為二十世紀優秀的法國作曲家，一生總共創作約一百四十六首藝術歌曲。《麥桿抽籤的遊戲》為普朗克的最後一部連篇歌曲集，歌曲以母親及孩童的角度描述七個充滿驚奇逗趣的故事。本文將透過對歌詞及音樂上的分析，來探究詩作與音樂上的關連。
本文主要包含四個部分來論述：普朗克的生平概要、普朗克的藝術歌曲、詩人卡雷姆的介紹、《麥桿抽籤的遊戲》的創作背景與樂曲分析。普朗克以多樣的歌唱旋律、豐富的伴奏形態，配合彈性的調性與和聲使用，烘托出歌詞意境的轉變，使此作品饒富趣味。

Francis Poulenc (1899-1963) was an excellent French composer in the twentieth century. He composed about 146 songs during his life. La courte paille was his last song cycle which included seven songs. These songs were in the mother’s and child’s point of view to describe the surprising and amusing stories. This study explored the close connection between literature and music by analyzing the poetry and music of these songs.
This study mainly contains four parts: the biographical information about Francis Poulenc, the characteristics of Poulenc’s mélodie, a brief introduction of poet Maurice Carême, and a performance analysis of La courte paille. Poulenc employed a wide variety of figures both in the vocal phrases and in the accompaniment with a great harmonic extension, which made this work interesting.
