車載隨意網路(Vehicular Ad Hoc Network, VANET)是行動隨意無線網路(Mobile Ad Hoc Network, MANET)的一種,其節點即為車輛。其特點是具有很高的機動性,此將導致一個持續且快速變化的高動態拓樸。因此大多數傳統行動隨意無線網路的路由協議是不適用在車載隨意網路的。高機動性、頻繁的連結中斷和車輛的不均勻分配,使得發展高效能的車載網路路由變得相當具有挑戰性。在本篇論文中,我們選擇具有較高連通率和較低歷史延遲的路段來轉發封包,以開發車載隨意網路的路由協定。模擬結果顯示,我們提出的路由協議在典型的都市場景忽略通訊成本的情況下,其封包抵達率及端點到端點的延遲,都優於GPSR(Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing for Wireless Networks)[2]和iCAR(Intersection-based Connectivity Aware Routing in Vehicular Ad hoc Networks)[14]。
Abstract
VANET is a form of Mobile Ad-hoc Network(MANET), where nodes refer to the vehicles. The network is characterized by its high mobility, causing a high dynamic topology that changes continuously and very rapidly. Hence, most traditional MANET routing protocols are not suitable for VANET. High mobility, frequent link disconnection, and uneven distribution of vehicles, make developing a high performance VANET routing protocol more challenging. In this thesis, we develop a VANET routing protocol by selecting road segment with higher connectivity and lower experienced delay to forward the packets. Simulation results show that the proposed routing protocol outperforms Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing for Wireless Networks(GPSR) and Intersection-based Connectivity Aware Routing in Vehicular Ad hoc Networks(iCAR) in terms of packet delivery ratio and end-to-end delay with a negligible cost of communication overhead in typical urban scenarios.
