在車載環境中,車輛的移動性將影響車輛與RSU之間通訊的時間與品質,造成傳輸延遲不穩定,使得有時效性的封包可能因為延遲太久而失效,如此,將浪費有限的網路資源。
傳統的排程機制,例如WRR與WFQ在進行封包排程時,沒有考慮到封包傳輸的時效性,因此時效較緊急的封包可能必須等待時效較緩的封包,當等待傳送的時間過長時,將導致時效較緊急的封包失效。同時,WRR與WFQ亦無考慮移動環境下無線傳輸的變動性,造成無線通道的品質也許無法因應封包的傳輸,使得封包的傳送較無效率,浪費大量的網路資源,造成封包傳送的成功\率下降。
本篇論文所提出的排程策略CAPD(channel aware and packet discard)考量大眾運輸系統固定路徑、 速度與時程的特性來預測通道狀況,藉以判斷封包時效是否可能失效,並根據封包時效適當地排程,使得時效較緊急之封包優先傳送,時效較不緊急之封包則延遲傳送。
CAPD考量不同封包的時效要求,並搭配通道狀況的考量,當車輛在RSU中行駛時不斷根據評估的通道狀況動態調整,刪除無效封包,有效封包則依據時效做排程分配。當車輛即將行駛出RSU連線範圍時,CAPD利用歷史記錄預測下一次連線建立時間,並評估未來連線頻寬可能為何,藉此考量目前連線與未來連線之狀況,使得資料流可以在最適合的時間點傳送,刪除無效封包,增加網路資源利用度。
