在日治時期,茶產業為當時台灣重要產業之一.粗製茶業為其中的一部份.在當時的日本政府認為,粗製茶的交易方法似乎不是很有效率.因此,成立台灣茶共同販賣所來取代當時傳統的交易途徑.然而,歷史資料卻訴說這樣的新交易制度似乎也無法有效替代傳統的交易途徑.本文透過交易成本的途徑,嘗試以治理選擇模型來說明當時的交易行為並以當時的政經背景,考慮代理問題來思考新的交易制度所提供的交易效率程度.
