本研究是以足式移動生物作為機器人的學習對象,藉由模仿竹節蟲之足部形式及比例參數發展六足機器人的足部模組。以足部模組化的機器人設計概念,將具有力回饋功能的馬達設置於足部模組的關節位置,提供機器人移動所需之動力。
對於六足機器人的機體設計,本研究是參考相關文獻所建議的足部配置型態,以中間足偏移設置的足部配置方式設計機器人機體,並著手進行實體六足機器人的硬體設計。為了使所發展之機器人具有高效率的平面移動性能,本研究是以三腳步態編排六足機器人於連續地形移動時的移動步態。對於非連續地形的移動實現,則是以其足部模組的力回饋功能進行機器人自主式偵測移動程序的開發與討論。
對於機器人的攀爬移動方面,為使機器人能不僅受限於水平面環境的移動,本研就將學習生物攀爬移動的方式,透過具有吊掛功能的勾爪模組設計開發,以實現六足機器人的攀爬移動能力。
