摘要
本文以實證方法探討1981~2001年我國對外直接投資盛行期間，對我國國家競爭力指標—實質GDP、貿易淨額、附加價值、固定資本形成的影響，以及開放對大陸投資前後，我國對外直接投資對我國國家競爭力的影響是否有改變。
實證結果顯示，對大陸開放投資前後，我國對外直接投資對競爭力指標--GDP--的影響產生明顯的變化。對大陸開放投資之前，對外投資金額與實質GDP之間呈現正向關係；對大陸開放投資之後，對外投資金額與實質GDP之間呈現負相關。此外，對大陸開放投資前後，我國對外直接投資對競爭力指標--貿易淨額的影響亦產生變化。對大陸開放投資之前，對外投資金額與貿易淨額之間呈現負向關係；對大陸開放投資之後，對外投資金額與貿易淨額之間呈現正相關，其原因係廠商赴大陸投資後，將帶動我國產品出口到大陸所致，唯此變化並不顯著。對大陸開放投資前後，我國對外直接投資對競爭力指標─固定資本形成─的影響亦產生變化。在固定資本形成方面，對大陸開放投資之前，對外投資金額與固定資本形成呈現正相關；對大陸開放投資之後，對外投資金額與固定資本形成呈現負相關，由此可知，開放台商至大陸投資之後，海外投資對我國競爭力指標─固定資本形成─的影響是負面的。最後分析海外投資對附加價值率的影響，對大陸開放投資前後，國對外直接投資與附加價值率皆呈現正相關，即對外投資金額愈多，附加價值率愈高，且對大陸開放投資使附加價值率提高，然此變化並不顯著。
