本研究旨在探討文化智商(CQ)在職業足球隊中選手-選手與教練-選手之間的交流影響。足球俱樂部從世界各地招募優秀人才,組建成一個充滿不同文化背景的團隊。儘管具有跨文化團隊的顯著優勢,但在與隊友和上級溝通方面,運動員仍然面臨巨大挑戰。然而,現有文獻中關於文化智商及組內溝通的關係甚少。因此本研究採質性研究法,針對來自不同聯盟和國家的12名職業運動員進行半結構化訪談,旨在研究探討職業運動員對文化智商的看法。本研究結果歸納,文化智商對小組內溝通具有重大影響,並改善了運動員與其教練之間的協作。
Abstract
The main purpose of the current study is to explore the effects of cultural intelligence (CQ) between athlete-athlete and coach-athlete communication in professional football squads. Football clubs are experiencing the benefits of recruiting the best talent worldwide by composing teams of individuals with diverse cultural backgrounds. Notwithstanding, the noteworthy advantages of inter-cultural teams, there remain still significant challenges for athletes in terms of communicating with teammates and superiors. However, very little is known about the relationship between CQ and in-group communication in sports literature. This study explores the role of CQ in the perception of professional athletes. The methodological approach taken in this study is a qualitative design based on collecting data with semi-structured interviews. Twelve professional athletes from different leagues and countries were part of the investigation. The results of this qualitative approach show that CQ has a significant impact on in-group communication and that it improves the collaboration between athletes and their coaches.
